Out & about from Easby Hall

From Easby guests can stroll along the banks of the River Swale past the waterfalls, walk under the castle ruins and up an ancient cobbled lane into Richmond.

A quintessential market town set in stunning countryside Richmond is the gateway to the Dales, but conveniently located only a few miles from Scotch Corner and the intersection of the A1 and A66.

Richmond Castle is an English Heritage managed monument and is open all year round.

There are panoramic views from the top of the Norman keep and the bird’s eye view reveals the victorian folly; Culloden Tower.

Perhaps Richmond’s most prized gem is the Georgian Theatre Royale; occupying a unique place in history, this Grade 1 listed theatre was built in 1788. It is now beautifully restored to its original form and offers an outstanding programme of year round entertainment.

Within close reach of Easby Hall are the North Yorkshire Moors and Lake District National Parks.
